City Gospel Mission Thanksgiving

This season, make a difference AND get yourself a little something nice in return. Thanks to City Gospel Mission, donate any of the listed items below to our Express Desk between Monday Nov 11, and Sunday Nov 17, for an entry into our raffle that includes a Pappy 10yr, 12yr, and Old Fitzgerald!

The City Gospel Mission is hosting a Thanksgiving Exchange, a grocery store for our neighbors with very low-incomes. Referred by local churches and community organizers, participants pay $25 to shop for their Thanksgiving groceries. The Thanksgiving Exchange empowers shoppers to celebrate Thanksgiving without destroying their tight budgets. Providing for them will require the donation of thousands of specific food items as well as money to purchase what is not donated.

Black Eyed Peas, 1lb Bags Dried
Brown Rice, 1 lb
Brown Sugar, 1 lb bag/box
Butter, 1 lb box
Cake mix, 16 oz box, Icing, 16 oz. tubs
Chicken broth, 20 oz cans or 32 oz boxes
Coffee, 11 oz. bag
Cooking bags, 1 box
Corn Meal, 1 lb
Corn Muffin Mix, 8 oz boxes
Corn, 15 oz cans
Cranberry Sauce 8 oz cans
Dinner Rolls, 1 doz packs
Elbow Macaroni, 1 lb boxes
Evaporated Milk, 12 oz cans
Flour, 5 lb bags
Fruit Cocktail, 15 oz cans
Gravy, 12 oz jars
