Zurab Gvaladze Wine Cellar is a small family winery located in the village of Obcha, Imereti, Western Georgia, and has a long history of Natural Winemaking. Initially, the winery was founded in 1900 by Aleksander Gvaladze, the great grandfather of Zurab Gvaladze who turned the family tradition into a commercial perspective in 2016. Situated in Imereti, the Village Obcha, forms an exceptional micro-zones. Traditional Imereian amber wine is made from Tsitska and Tsolikouri grapes grown right in the village. This wine was fermented in large clay jars buried underground called Churi using 30% skin contact for one month. The wine exhibits notes of green apple, peach, pineapple with mineral accents and the palate is round with lively acidity.
