Domaine Carterole Seven Summit 2021

The Seven Summit challenge consists of climbing the highest mountain of each continent. Joachim, an avid climber, hopes to achieve this goal one day. If you're wondering, a carterole is a small barrel used to hold alcohol (think Saint Bernards.) Fishermen used them for their daily ration of wine for the work day; Joachim's grandfather, the last fisherman of the village, was known to drink heartily from his. So much so that it became his nickname. The grapes co-fermented together in stainless steel then were aged in barrique for seven months before bottling.
