Stranahan's Colorado Single Malt Whiskey

Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey is a bright, orange-hued spirit with a relatively mild nose -- almost rye-like. Though 94 proof, the nose isn't particularly hot. It is a rarity among American whiskeys, distilled from 100 percent malted barley. It is then aged in charred, new oak barrels, but for a mere two years. The result is something wildly unlike any other whiskey on the market. It has a grassy, chewy character from the rye and then the wood component takes over on the finish.
