Mars Shinshu Komagatake Yakushima Aged Single Malt Whisky

The fourth release of Single Malt Japanese Whisky distilled at the Mars Shinshu Distillery in Nagano and aged on Yakushima off the Kagoshima mainland. Malted barley is peated before distillation and aged in ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks for 3-5 years. A nose of yellow fruit, fresh butter and white smoke opens to a soft and intriguing palate of milk chocolate, dashi, and dried bonito with a pleasant bitterness lingering on the finish.
