Julien Pineau Blanc Chicos

Julien was able to source these grapes through an Armagnac producer who's decided to decrease their own production and in such start selling grapes to vignerons. It was first produced in 2021 after a devastating year of frost, hail and mildew forced Julien to produce négociant wines in order to stay afloat. The label art was painted by Thibault Jandot, the multidisciplinary artist who also filmed, edited and directed a a film about Julien called "The 4 Seasons of a Winemaker in The Loire Valley". The grapes were trucked from Armagnac to the Loire, then direct-pressed. The wine then fermented and aged 2/3rd in barrel, 1/3rd in stainless steel.
