It has a deep opaque purplish-red color with a dark core going to a dense purplish-red rim tint and medium-high viscosity. There are quite a few individual smells that would leave your nose. The most dominant ones would be licorice root and black cherries with a weaker tint of melted black licorice, graphite and some notes of blueberry crumble, vanilla, musk, earthy minerals and oak. This leaves you a very satisfying feeling of an aromatic wine which would urge you. As they say, the palate is somehow connected to the nose and thus, the foremost taste you would get is a medley of dark berry fruit, bittersweet dark chocolate, melted English licorice and a somewhat minty taste of blackberry jam. The mid-palate features a balance of ripe tannin backbone and a finish of juicy cherries and minerals. This is not just an aromatic wine indeed but a very delicious one too.
