Milbrandt Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

The nose is full of rich notes of black currant and black cherry, freshly brewed coffee, a slight hint of vanilla, and a little bit of spiciness. The entry is nice and round, with a rich mid-palate throughout. The mouth is full of ripe black fruit notes, some spiciness, and a touch of herbaceousness.

A top wine of 2021 selected by our wine department. The elegant potential of Cabernet is rarely able to be captured in the United States at a reasonable price point. Originally started in 1997 in an area that used to harvest apples and potatoes, Milbrandt’s land was one of the first in the region to be planted to vineyards. The Milbrandt family is known for being pioneers in the Columbia Valley. - Stephen
