Azienda Agricola COS Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico 2020

We are at the farthest tipp of south eastern Sicily. The taste of Africa jumps out at you not just from the various architectural ruins but also more importantly from the vegetation: olive, carob and almond trees and vines abound. The climate as well recalls Africa with its red, ochre and yellow tones. Made from the blending of Frappato di Vittoria 40%, Nero d’Avola 60%. The winery is organic and the vineyard is made up of red soil, medium consistency; formed of sub-apennine sands of Pliocene origin, of limestone-siliceous nature. The average age of the vines ar 25 years and the grapes are harvested at the end of September, first days of October. Fermentation is spontaneous on the skins with indienous yeast. The wine is aged in Slavonian barrels.
