Rhum J.M Terroir Volcanique is a unique expression that utilizes our on-site cooperage to carry out a double-char process resulting in a complex extraction of wood flavors.
Through innovative techniques of barrel toasting and blending, Master Blender Karine Lassalle is able to create a blended symphony of three-year-old rums that perfectly capture the terroir of the volcano. Smoke and earth are complimented by spice and brûléed tropical fruit in this exceptional and complex spirit. This unique Vieux Agricole (aged in oak for a minimum of 3 years) was distilled from crushed sugarcane within an hour of harvest and open fermented with French baker's yeast for 24 hours. Double aged to perfection.
