This Bottled-In-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is named after Joseph Washington Dant, a Kentucky distiller during the 1830s who is said to have fashioned a still out of a hollowed out tree trunk. It is distilled using a sour mash process and then charcoal filtered before bottling in Bardstown, Kentucky. As a Bottled-in-Bond product, it is distilled and bottled by Heaven Hill Distillery during the same distilling season, aged for at least four years in a bonded warehouse and bottled at exactly 100 proof. Enjoy J.W. Dant Bourbon on the rocks or, for an easy recipe, simply combine one part spirit with two parts of a basic mixer like cola or ginger ale. Stir together and add a garnish if you desire.
