The satisfying depth of the 18 year old comes from a higher proportion of whiskies matured in first-fill, sherry-seasoned European oak casks, which deliver intense notes of fruit and spice that linger on the palate. We round out these flavors with the addition of sherry-seasoned American oak casks and refill casks, resulting in a whisky that’s as balanced as it is complex. A fan favorite for a reason. Rich, fruity, caramelized sweetness on the nose, followed by finely balanced notes of orange zest, dark chocolate and aromatic smoke from our Orkney heathered peat on the palate. The finish is lingering, sweet and spicy with slightly nutty notes.
