Description:
Assyrtiko and Athiri are two of the most important white varieties grown on the Greek island of Santorini. The volcanic soils of the island are ideal for producing incisive, mineral driven white wines such as this one. A slightly oily texture carries the ripe lemony fruit which is given added interest by flinty notes and herbal traces on the crisp, dry finish. Assyrtiko-Athiri is excellent with traditional Greek recipes, fish dishes and white meats with light sauces.
