The Ian Macleod and Company was founded in 1933 and in 1963 was purchased by the Russell family, a long-standing whiskey brokerage. Over the years the Russell family has led Ian Macleod by adding highly coveted, quality brands and distilleries to their ever-impressive portfolio. The list of brands that encompasses Ian Macleod is impressive including Sheepdip, Smokehead, Pig’s Nose, Glengoyne, Macleod’s Malts, amongst many others.

GLENGOYNE SINGLE MALTS

The Glengoyne distillery sits on the doorstep of Glasgow in the highlands. Glengoyned distills its malt whisky slower than other distillery. This is due to their uniquely shaped stills that nurse their simmering wash longer than any Scottish whisky. This prolonged contact with the copper coaxes the sweet and fruity notes of the rolling vapors. Their spirits are aged in made-to-order American and European casks.
