Virginia Chutney Mango Chutney

This is a traditional Major Grey style chutney, but with a third the salt and more ginger and cinnamon. We spent 9 barefoot years running a beach restaurant in the Caribbean; our take on the classic Mango chutney has a hint of ginger to remind us of exotic harbors. When we want to conjure up those island flavors we serve our Mango chutney with grilled fish or a curry – it will make you hear steel drums in your head. Our chutneys are family-made in the blue hills of Virginia with our favorite spices, real fruit, and none of that funny stuff.
