Bottled In Bond Bourbon
The Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, which was created to help improve the standards of American Whiskey, states that a Whiskey must be the product of one distillation season (January-June or July-December) by one distiller at one distillery. That Whiskey must be aged in a federally bonded warehouse under US government supervision for at least four years and bottled at 100 proof. Labeling must indicate where that product was distilled and bottled.
