Yes, we are ABSINTHE minded!

Author: Alex Gehler

We here at The Party Source are excited to welcome back absinthe after being banned for nearly 100 years. Being the area’s foremost absinthe authority, we have researched the history and experimented with a variety of absinthe cocktails and studied the rituals to ensure that we have everything needed for your complete absinthe experience from authentic fountains, period correct glassware, decorative spoons, and even the highly envied Balancier.

Absinthe defined an era and was the number one drink in France for nearly a decade (yes, over wine). It was banned throughout most of the Western world at the beginning of the 19th century, because it was thought to cause hallucinations, it provoked people to act beyond uncivilized and that under its influence could cause madness and even death. Today, absinthe is back and with it comes ceremony and custom that was almost lost to time. The careful preparation of absinthe, known as The Ritual, allows its sweet, herbal aroma to blossom, but also sets the mood as the green Fairy beckons to you to explore your own intimate absinthe experience.

We warmly invite you to try this much anticipate and much ridiculed spirit and judge for yourself. The reintroduction of absinthe is a new means for us to experience the past. There is an excitement for how this entirely new category of spirit will be enjoyed by people on an individual level as well as how our modern mixologists will use absinthe as a defining ingredient to modern cocktails.
