Jefferson's Wood Experiment Collection

Trey Zoeller set out to expirement with how the finishing process expresses itself through a 4 year old Bourbon. He started with 13 different and unique environments in which to finish these Bourbons and documented their progress over a period of 32 months, recording how each treatment had affected each Bourbon. The result - an incredible collection called the Wood Experiment Collection. Of the 13 expiremental environments choosen only five were selected for this release. Expirement No.3 was finished in a new 60 gallon American Oak barrel with low, deep impact toast profile. Experiment No. 4 New, standard Whiskey barrel with medium char infused with heavily charred American Oak cubes. Experiment No. 6 was finished in a new standard Whiskey barrel with light-medium char infused with lightly toasted American Oak staves. Experiment No. 10 was finished in a custom 60 gallon French and American hybrid oak barrel with a low, deep impact toast profile. Expirement No. 12 was finished in original Bourbon barrel with oak inserts that have been toasted over a long period of time to infuse the Bourbon.
